Changing Your World

Walking in the steps of Jesus should be the desire of every true disciple. He said we will do the works that he did and we will do greater works. The implication of this is knowing that we are not called to conform but rather to be transformed in order to be the agents of transformation in our world. (Romans 12:2)

  • In Matthew 28:19; Jesus said ‘Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…
  • In Mark 16:15, he said ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature’.
  • In Luke 24:47, he said; and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations.
  • In John 20:21, he commissioned them by saying, “As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
  • Finally in Acts 1:8, Jesus told them ‘But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth’.

The above scriptures are pointing to the fact that God is interested in us being world changers and not onlookers. We have an assignment to see his kingdom come and his will be enforced on earth. We all have been called to the ministry of reconciliation as written in 2 Corinthians 5:16-21.
Below are four things that world changers must engage in;
Picture it. Write down goals for people that you want to see transformed by the gospel of Christ. Don’t just dream about material things, engage your imagination for kingdom benefits in seeing the salvation of souls. A vision board or screensaver on your phone can help make this imagination real.
Pray about it. Prayer is earthly permission for heavens intervention. Our assignment is deeply spiritual, and we cannot be oblivious of the intensity of the warfare that comes with the salvation of a man or woman. Set regular reminders that helps you to pray for the salvation of souls. Plan for it. Be strategic in your approach. It takes all kinds of ways to reach different kinds of people, so we have to be intentional. The plan must not be vague but actionable. Wisdom for the how is provided in the place of planning.
Preach the gospel. Don’t just plan, preach. Plan your work but most importantly, work your plan. That is how to let your light shine. Romans 10:14 says they cannot hear the gospel except there is a preacher. Schedule a hangout with your prospect. Invite them to a church service or an environment where they will have opportunity to hear the gospel.

I charge you to commit to changing your world Jesus way. He is still the way, the truth, and the life. A brand-new world needs a brand-new people. A brand-new people require a brand new life. A brand-new life is only possible with a brand-new spirit. You cannot have a brand-new spirit without Jesus Christ. Let your world see Jesus in and through you. That is the way we will CHANGE OUR WORLD.

God Loves Me
God is my shepherd Psalm 23:1-6 makes us understand that God is our shepherd protecting us.
What is a shepherd? A shepherd is someone that takes care of a herd of sheep by making sure they are fed and safe and move together. God is the same, He is our shepherd and always protecting and providing for us. He knows all our needs ans we can always trust God.

Now let us sing together the song of David. 1. The Lord is my shepherd. I have everything need.

  1. He gives me rest in green pastures. He leads me to calm water.
  2. He gives me new strength. For the good of his name, He leads me on paths that are right.
  3. Even if I walk through a very dark valley, I will not be afraid because you are with me. Your rod and your shepherd’s staff comfort me.
  4. You prepare a meal for me in front of my enemies.

You pour oil of blessing on my head. You give me more than I can hold.
(superscript 6) Surely your goodness and love
will be with me all my life
And I will live in the house of the Lord forever. AMEN
Psalm 23:1-6 (ICB)

DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

Service to Others
As Christians, we are naturally inclined to render service to people either in the form of preaching the gospel, lending helping hands to people in need or by making donations. Service comes as part of the terrain. Do you know that rendering service to others is also a form of personal growth?
*There is nothing like service to others who are in circumstances more difficult than our own to bring a sense of humility, gratitude and a shift in perspective on our own live that pushes us to grow more”
Global

Most times when we talk about “personal growth and development” we tend to focus on ourselves. Self-care, self- evaluation, self-critics… They are all good but personal growth goes beyond the word ‘self’.
In simple terms, personal growth is becoming a better version of yourself. As much as working on oneself is good, there is nothing like rendering an act of service to people to improve your personal growth. You give more, you’re much nicer to people than before and more patient in situations where you would have previously lashed out in anger. Wouldn’t you agree that all these fall under the scope of personal growth?

BIBLICAL POETRY

Ready For Love?
Opening my heart to Gods spiritual family,
Means fighting the temptation to be a quiet observer.
It means stepping away from the side-line and into the ring. It means accepting that there is a family ready to embrace me.
It means putting aside the protective shield
used to create a barrier from the unfamiliar.
It means being ready to love.

But what is love?
Love is allowing God to dwell in your heart through faith.
It is allowing the roots of God’s love to keep you grounded.
It is understanding the depth of God’s love for you,
The type of love that puts in the effort to number your hair follicles. It is knowing that the overflow of love ascending from within pours out to those around you.
It is praying for those that wrong you.
It is forgiving before receiving the apology. It is acknowledging that those closest to you have the potential to hurt you the most,
but still choosing to be vulnerable.
It is the ability to forgive even when you can’t forget,
Forgiving prevents your vision from becoming blurred.
Love is patient and can be a building block for greater things, such as a family.

But what does it take to grow a family?
It is accepting that the fruit of love is joy, peace, suffering long,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
All things that we must practice in a loving relationship. Understand this, and you will create peace in your world

But what does it take to keep a family?
Discretion. It is taking in the wisdom to know when to speak in public, And when to keep in private affairs important to the family.
It is standing like a Knight protecting our personal space. It is becoming firm like a King that understands his wife.
It is being vulnerable towards your King,
because with him you know your secrets are safe and will never be used like a weapon against you.
Keeping a family requires an openness like no other.
Finally, accepting the word of God is the standard for the family system,
Do not allow society’s redefinition to corrupt the family system created by God

HEALTH CORNER

More Than Just a 3-Day Discomfort
Endometriosis is a painful and persistent medical condition affecting millions of women globally. It is characterised by the growth of endometrial tissue outside of the uterus, and in severe instances this growth can cause organ damage, inflammation, and scarring. Endometriosis symptoms vary from person to person, but often include pelvic pain, painful menstrual periods, painful intercourse food digestion issues, infertility, fatigue, depression, and anxiety, which all have the potential to reduce a person’s quality-of-life.

Diagnosing endometriosis can be challenging because the symptoms often resemble those of other conditions. The most effective way to diagnose endometriosis is through a minimally invasive procedure known as laparoscopy, which involves inserting a small camera into the abdomen to identify abnormal growths and scarring. There are other methods of diagnosis including pelvic examination, ultrasound, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans.
Surgery and drugs are frequently used in combination to treat endometriosis. While hormonal treatments like birth control pills, progestin-only pills, and gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists can slow the growth of endometrial tissue, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can assist with pain management. Surgery might be required in severe cases to remove the abnormal tissue or damaged organs.

In conclusion, endometriosis is a complex and often misunderstood condition that can significantly impact women’s lives. Although there is no cure for endometriosis, continued research is providing hope for new treatments and a better understanding of the condition. With increased support from the medical community and public awareness campaigns, we can improve the lives of those affected by endometriosis and strive towards a future where the condition no longer goes undiagnosed or untreated.
“Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Mark 5:29 & 34.

CLOSURE:

The template for God’s Kind of Family is a family that:

  • Loves one another.
  • Prays together and for one another.
  • Supports each other, even when it’s not needed.

One of the strengths of the enemy is to look for our blind spots, and fight us from there. However, when we stand back to back with one another, we are able to cover each other’s blind spots.
But as you stand back to back with your partner, remember this.”Put on truth as a belt to strengthen you to stand in triumph. “Put on holiness as the protective armor that covers your heart. Stand on your feet alert, then you’ll always be ready to share the blessings of peace. In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the evil one”
Ephesians 6:14-16 TPT.
