Focus On The God Of Word

Pastor Corner:

Welcome to the month of March! It will be a month of uncommon, remarkable and supernatural progress. You will march into your harvest this month in Jesus name.

As we approach the end of the first quarter, the year has been unfolding in various ways that may make it look like what God said about the year is contrary to what we are experiencing. Especially with the current economic upheaval that we find in our nation and other nations of the world. Yet the word of God remains true in spite of what we see today.

I am reminded of the scripture in Habakkuk 3:17-19 where everything that can fail had failed and yet the response of the person going through it was to rejoice in the Lord. We cannot respond the way the world is responding to the situation. Our response must communicate that we trust in the Lord not in the economy.

Another scripture that won’t leave me is found in Numbers 21:4-9 when the children of Israel rebelled against the Lord their God and he allowed serpents to afflict them and yet he provided the remedy in their ability to look to the serpent on the pole for their redemption. Verse 9 ... “if a serpent has bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.” This means the attention must not be on the bite on the pole which represents Jesus according to John 3:14-15.

Dear reader, take your focus off the economic upheaval and put your focus on the word of God. Your focus on worldly situations will only create more tension, worry and anxiety leading to depression and other troubles. Focus on the fact that it is our year of Unprecedented Harvest despite the natural realities. The word always wins no matter what. Obey the introduction to harvest souls for the kingdom. Remember, as we reap the harvest of souls, we will be reaping miracles in returns.

I want to leave you with the scripture below to meditate on as we march forward in the month of March. Isaiah 45:1-3 (TPT)

“This is what Yahweh says to his anointed one, Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped as my servant to conquer nations and dethrone their kings. For I will open doors before him and no fortified gate will remain closed. I will march out in front of you and level every obstacle. I will shatter to pieces bronze doors and slice through iron bars. I will give you hidden treasures from dark, concealed places and wealth waiting in secret sites so that you recognise me, for it is I, Yahweh, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name!”

I call you blessed!

Children’s Corner:

WORSHIP ONLY GOD

Welcome Children of God!!!!

You are welcome to another exciting episode of learning with FLOAT newsletter.

My name is Amaka, and today I have Sammie here with me. I know it’s exam time already and hope you are taking the required time to prepare for it.

SAMMIE: I’m excited to be here for another interesting news. Amaka, what are we discussing today?

AMAKA: I’m excited to be here too, we’ll be discussing worship on this episode and our text is from the book of Psalm 95:6-7 (AMPCA) which is captured below.

“O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker [in reverent praise and supplication]. For He is our God and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice.”

AMAKA: Sammie what do you understand by ‘worship only God’?

SAMMIE: When you honour and reverence only God

AMAKA: You are correct, when you worship God, it’s means you put God above every other thing and do what pleases Him. There are many ways you can please God, Sammie can you name a few?

SAMMIE: By being kind to one another you are also worshiping God

By being obedient to His commandments, you are also worshipping Him

Amaka: This is right, there are many ways to worship Him. You can also worship God with your giving, by paying your tithe and offering

SAMMIE: Amazing, I have learnt something new today, which is to make sure in everything you do, you honour God with it.

AMAKA: We hope you learnt something awesome today. Till we meet again soon, bye

Crossroads

There would come a time when you would find yourself in a tough situation. Torn about the best decision to make, conflicted about doing things your way or the way others have been doing theirs. This is the time when you find yourself at a crossroad.

When you’re at a crossroad, you need to be mindful of whatever decision you want to make. This is because it could either make you or break you. In such crucial times like these, you might find yourself in between options. Do not be in a hurry to walk the path every person you know has treaded. You want to ensure that you do not break all the values that you hold dear. Ensure your integrity isn’t compromised.

Do not for the little joy of today, miss what tomorrow has in store for you.

You were created for a purpose as God`s masterpiece and as such you might have to walk the path the crowd did not take. You might think yourself as part of a niche hereby limiting your God-given abilities when God wants you to be the niche!

Be mindful of the decisions you make whenever you find yourself at a crossroad.

Biblical Poetry:

No longer taking the lead

Heavenly father I ask you to lead me

I ask you to give me the things you desire for me to have.

I want you to remove me from obstructing your path for me.

I want you to silence my mind,

so that your words and directions are clearer

I want you to replace the role of my worldly father.

Speak to me in a way that only I can understand.

Be patient with me, whilst I develop my trust in you.

Plant belief builders along the course of my life

Small miracles that reassure me of your presence.

Heavenly father I plead with you to take the lead,

Teach me how to apply acceleration, or when to break and reflect.

Bring me closer to people that act as examples of your love & grace.

Imperfect humans that put their life in your hands

Heavenly father show me how to walk away from addictions.

Addictions that bring me comfort and joy

Addictions that limit my vision field to instant gratification

Addictions that occupy spaces in my mind that truly belongs to you.

Heavenly father I would like for you to take the lead,

Redefine my understanding of free-will, the freedom to choose.

The intelligence to recognise when it is time to make a decision

The decision to break free from addictions.

The decision to let go of control.

Humility to allow you to take the lead

And the maturity to realise that God only wants the best for me.

Colorectal Cancer: Symptoms, Risk Factors, and Prevention

Colorectal cancer, also known as bowel cancer, colon cancer, or rectal cancer, is a significant health concern worldwide. This type of cancer originates in the colon or rectum, which are parts of the large intestine and it is the most common cause of large bowel obstruction in adults. Colorectal cancer appears to be on the rise in Nigeria. A 2010 study in Ibadan, Nigeria, found that the average annual incidence of colorectal cancer was 27 patients per year. The incidence rate in Nigeria is 3.4 cases per 100,000 people, compared with 35.8 cases per 100,000 people in Connecticut, USA.

Blood in the stool, changes in bowel movement, weight loss, weariness, nausea, lethargy, and stomach pain are some of the symptoms. Individuals should be aware of warning signals such as prolonged abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, or changes in bowel habits, especially if they are older than 50 years. It is important to remember that some patients with colorectal cancer may not exhibit any symptoms, emphasising the significance of regular examinations for early identification.

Risk factors for colorectal cancer include a high-fat, sugar, red meat, and processed meat diet, obesity, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, and lack of physical activity. Furthermore,

A healthy lifestyle that includes frequent physical activity, a fiber-rich diet, fruits and vegetables, and maintaining a healthy body weight can help reduce the risk of colorectal cancer. Preventive measures include quitting smoking, decreasing alcohol consumption, and eating less red and processed meat. People with a family history of colorectal cancer or certain genetic diseases may be more susceptible to the disease. Furthermore, regular screenings can help with the early detection of colorectal cancer and improve treatment outcomes.

Isaiah 58:8 (NIV): “Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.”

Conclusion:

Love is the singular fruit of the Spirit, every other thing mentioned in Galatian 5:22 is embedded in love. The love referred to is the God’s kind of love (agape).

It remains impossible for one to love like God as a natural man; the natural desire will always want to take its course, which is why love is the fruit of the Spirit.

It takes having the spirit of a person to think like the person. It also takes having God to be able to demonstrate love like Him.

Here is the time for every child of God to genuinely love like God. Our family must profess God’s love, our marriages must exhibit the love of God, and our relationships must promote God’s love. This proves our sonship and legitimacy, which can be achieved with the help of the Holy Spirit (Spirit of God).

Therefore, we need to surrender totally to the leading of the Holy Spirit so that we can be helped, enabled, graced, and strengthened to love like God.
